SECTION 200: TEAMS

210 MEMBERSHIP

211 All teams that participate in SCAA events must be group members as prescribed by the SCAA bylaws (Sections IV.1.1- 6).

220 DIVISIONS

221 For each season, teams shall be placed into divisions using the following procedures.

222 The league will be divided into three divisions, with the third of the teams which scored the highest point totals at the league championship for that season during the preceding year being Division I, the third of the teams with the next highest point totals being Division II, and the remaining teams being Division III.

223 In the event that one or more divisions must have an unequal number the lower divisions shall be smaller.

223.1 Teams that have not participated in the corresponding league championship shall not be considered when applying this rule.

224 Teams that did not participate in the corresponding league championship shall not be placed into a division until the league championships and the following criteria shall be used.

224.1 If a team participated in the previous season’s league championship, it will be placed into the same division in which it participated for that season.

224.2 If a team has not participated in a league championship within the previous year, it will be placed into the lowest division where its total number of registered athletes does not exceed the highest total number of registered athletes for any of the other teams that were placed in that division at the beginning of the season.

230 REGISTRATION OF SWIMMERS

231 Teams are responsible for submitting to the league appropriate meet results and any other documentation required for the registration of their members.

232 Teams are responsible for all registration fees for their members.
